My Photography
Welcome! Thanks for stopping by! I am a Wedding, Pet, and Nature photographer based near Napa, California. We recently moved to the Napa, California area from Phoenix, Arizona. While in Phoenix, I shot for Phoenix Magazine, and Phoenix Home and Garden Magazine.
My passion for photography started in the mid 1980’s when I purchased my first full manual 35mm camera, a Ricoh KR-5 Super. I’ve always felt a need to be creative, whether it be through drawing, painting, or of course, photography. In high school, I learned how to develop my own black and white film and prints and haven’t stopped since. I’ve been shooting digital for over 10 years now, although I still occasionally play with 35mm and medium format film.
My Wedding photography Style
I love the creativity that photographing weddings and portraits allows. My style is a combination of photojournalistic and classic wedding photography. Capturing the candid moments that make the day exceptional, while still taking the time to capture classic images that will wow friends and family. I believe that each couple is unique, with their own story. I try to capture the photos that best reflect who you are on your special day.
What Drives Me
When I’m not working, I love to hang out with my awesome wife, Jolean, and our Greyhounds (Luna and Sydney and Astro). I enjoy hiking, time with friends, and watching Hockey. Jolean and are I passionate about nature and animals. We both work with the local Greyhound rescue organizations, and foster dogs until they can find a permanent home. I also donate regularly to causes that support nature and the environment. If you hire me, a portion of your payment will go to these causes. Lately, I’ve been donating to 4Ocean. A group devoted to cleaning plastic from the world’s Oceans and saving marine animals.
